16 cups corn (4 quarts, or about 20 ears)
3 cups water
1/2 stick butter
3-4 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. sugar (optional)
Using a sharp knife, cut corn off cobb while raw.
Combine all ingredients in a large kettle.
Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Cool. Package in Ziploc freezer bags. Do not drain.
Yield: Seven 2-cup packages.
